A free and family friendly event
Art Around Adams
A free and family friendly event, Art Around Adams is a music and art walk extending over two miles along Adams Avenue in San Diego. This event, held on June 4, 2011, showcased numerous visual and performance artists, including an array of local artists, musicians, outrageous street performers, and interactive installations. McDaniel Tax & Administrative Services was proud to sponsor the band, Double Minor, paintings by Cheryl and photography by Amar Image. A variety of cheeses, crackers and even margaritas were served to visitors throughout the day.
In addition, Tobytax.com sponsored a free “Comedy Trolley” in which live stand-up comedians shuttled guests up and down Adams Avenue, while entertaining them with the best jokes San Diego has to offer. Thousands of dollars in prizes – from gift cards to vintage wine – were awarded during this event.

Home Parade on Memorial Day
2010 marks Kensington’s first centennial. Celebrations are being held throughout the year to honor the community’s heritage and share it with all of San Diego. Kensington is a community bordered by Interstate 15, Mission Valley, Fairmount Avenue and Meade or Monroe Avenue. It is well known for immaculate front yards, palm tree-lined streets, the Holiday at Home Parade on Memorial Day and regional favorites like the Ken Cinema and Kensington Video.
Tobyco Services, known in the community as TobyTax.com, joined the year-long centennial celebration by entering a float in Kensington’s 25th Annual Home Parade on Memorial Day. Our float won 1st place. Here are some photos of the float and of Charles “Toby” McDaniel receiving the 1st place ribbon.
Through a loan from ACCION San Diego in the summer of 2008, Charles “Toby” McDaniel was able to open and beautifully furnish his own location in Normal Heights. This new location has become a “home away from home”.

Get Fit with Tamara
On August 14, 2011, the staff of Tobytax.com teamed up with their neighbors, Get Fit with Tamara, for a fun filled day of team building and kayaking on Mission Bay. Afterwards everyone enjoyed a pot-luck barbeque on the beach. Exercising, being a team member, getting some sun and eating made for a great Saturday. We hope to make this an annual event and everyone is invited to come.
